The Warehouse & Inventory Officer is responsible for managing the organization’s warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory records, coordinating the receipt and dispatch of goods, and maintaining proper storage conditions. The role supports efficient supply chain operations while ensuring accountability and compliance with organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse operations and inventory control.
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods and supplies.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse storage for easy identification and retrieval.
  • Monitor stock levels and prepare inventory reports.
  • Coordinate the distribution of food and non-food items to project sites.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure warehouse safety, cleanliness, and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all warehouse transactions.
  • Work closely with procurement and logistics teams.
  • Assist during emergency response and large-scale distribution activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to lift and move inventory items when necessary.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with NGOs or humanitarian organizations.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driving license is an advantage.
