The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, coordinating, and supporting volunteers involved in the organization’s community programs. This role ensures that volunteers are effectively engaged, motivated, and equipped to contribute to the organization’s mission while maintaining a positive volunteer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, screen, and onboard new volunteers.
- Plan and deliver volunteer orientation and training sessions.
- Coordinate volunteer assignments and schedules.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records and databases.
- Build positive relationships with volunteers and community partners.
- Monitor volunteer performance and provide ongoing support.
- Organize volunteer appreciation and recognition events.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and safeguarding guidelines.
- Prepare reports on volunteer activities and program outcomes.
- Support emergency response and special community events when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, or program management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, or community-based organizations.
- Knowledge of volunteer management best practices.
- Strong event planning and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Nepali.
