The Food Distribution Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the efficient distribution of food assistance to communities and beneficiaries. The role ensures that food distribution activities are conducted safely, fairly, and in compliance with organizational policies while maintaining accurate records and coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily food distribution activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food supplies to designated locations.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams.
- Maintain accurate records of food inventory and distribution.
- Supervise distribution staff and volunteers during field operations.
- Verify beneficiary lists and ensure transparent distribution processes.
- Prepare distribution reports and maintain required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and organizational guidelines.
- Coordinate with local authorities, community leaders, and partner organizations.
- Respond to operational challenges and support emergency food relief efforts when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Community Development, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in food distribution, logistics, humanitarian assistance, or operations.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, or humanitarian organizations.
- Knowledge of food security and relief distribution programs.
- Familiarity with inventory and logistics management systems.

- Fluency in English and Nepali.
